IMPORTANT GOOD NEWS: It seems that in the end Google+ is not going to disappear as it has been reporting that April 2 was closing.
I copy the email I received:
"Dear owner or administrator of a Google group:
We are contacting you to inform you of the changes we are making in the Google Groups configuration interface.
In response to your comments, on May 6, 2019 we will begin to update this interface so you can manage and configure your groups more easily.
About these changes
• We are going to remove some settings and functions that are barely used and we will combine similar settings. More information about changes in settings
• On May 6, 2019 we will begin to implement these changes, but you may not see them until May 21, 2019.
• Once the changes have been applied, we will automatically update the settings of the existing groups to the new interface.
Important
• Some group members may no longer have access to group management functions. Depending on your current configuration, certain group members who can now access certain group management functions may lose that access. If you want to make sure that group members have the correct access, you can check and adjust the group settings before May 6, 2019.
• The settings of the groups you own or manage will be updated to the new settings. Note: You can change the settings of your group at any time.
• Groups that you create as of May 6 will have the new settings by default.
• Once the changes have been applied, we recommend that you check if the settings of your groups are the ones you want.
• If you need help, visit the Help Center.
Sincerely,
The Google Groups team "
